You come to slowly, eyelids trying to pull you back into the darkness of sleep. Pleasent, blissful, harmless sleep. You don't even really notice your eyes are open at first, staring into the abyss of inky black before you. There's a hint of reality though, as your eyes ajust and you notice the hints of moonlight coming in from a window across the room.
Wind creeps in with it. You can't tell if the window just doesn't have glass, or maybe if its just busted out, but you feel the winds trying to lull you back into your false security of sleep.
//Where am I?//
As you move to stand, your bones crack and pop to a painful tune as they wake up and move for the first time in god knows how long. Every joint and muscle just feels lathargic, like they could fall back asleep any minute.
As your movement and feeling returns to you, you can still feel you phone pressed into your back pocket.

You inch up closer to the window, hesistant about looking out. Standing off to the side so you're harder to see might be smarter. You can clearly tell that you're not on a ground floor just from peaking outside the slightest bit.
A thick blanket of snow covers the majority of the outside world. The moonlight bounces off of it like a mirror, illuminating an endless expanse of snow-covered trees outside. You poke your head out from your hiding spot a bit more to see if it ends somewhere.
You don't know how long you've actually been stuck in this room, but you can't help yourself when you feel the pull to go back into fresh air, back home. You slowly inch your hand out on of the holes in the window as tears prick the corner of your eyes.
The wind hits your hand and cold threads through your fingers. It feels like freedom, like if you could get your whole body out this damn window you'd be free...
You hold your hand out long enough to feel the tips of your fingers begin to go numb, but you couldn't care less.
You start to look further out into the world past your fingertips. Trees, everywhere. Nothing but trees and... footsteps. Fresh footsteps in the snow.
You can't pull back quick enough at the sight and you knock your wrist against the jagged edge of the window as you try to duck down beneath the window. You have to hold back from yelping in pain and blood immediately starts to come from the wound.
Your eyes go wide when you see the blood. It's not a lot and thank god its not quite pouring, but you still tuck your arm under your t-shirt and push the fabric against the wound to create pressure.
You watch as the blue fabric turns a dark shade of reddish-purple and the blood mixes with the fabric and lean your head back against the wall until you can get the bleeding to stop.
Wounded or not, you need to get out of here.
[[Look back out?->9A]]
[[Look around the room?->8B]] You decide to ignore the window out of fear that someone, specifically your captors, might see you trying to find a means of escape. Let alone that you're finally awake. You steer away from it, opting to follow along the wall and look for some kind of exit.
Despite the moonlight giving part of the room a faint glow, its still majorally pitch black. You place a hand against the wall and slowly walk around the edge of the room, hoping to find a door somewhere.
Once you reach a halfway point around the room, the wood of the floor bends to the curve of your foot, creaking loudly. You stop dead in your tracks, eyes wide.
//Stay quiet. Stay quiet. Stay quiet.//
The world goes silent as you wait. You don't move. You don't speak. At one point you even have to remind yourself to actually breathe.
What you assume is downstairs, you hear faint footsteps.
[[Stay where you are?->9B]]
[[Escape through the window?->9C]]<iframe width="0" height="0" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/3eILoQChD_A?autoplay=1"></iframe>
Ignoring the blood that is slowly soaking your shirt, you poke your head back up and start following the footprint trail with your eyes. You have to lean your head closer to the window than before to get a better angle.
There seems to be some kind of yellow light in the snow when you lean further to the right. You try to strain your neck further and notice that there's a small shed sticking out from the main building you're in, and there's a small window with yellow light flooding from it.
//They're here.//
[[Who are they?->10A]]You're frozen, pressed up against the wall as you hear a deep, male voice coming from downstairs.
"Oh Jackie?"
Its faint, but loud enough to know you've made the wrong choice. A chill goes down your spine, and beads of sweat begin antagonizingly dripping down your back despite the cold wind hitting you.
You pause when your captor's footsteps stop. Eyes wide staring at the blank wall, feet cemented to the floor, hand still superglued to the wall. What if he's listening for your heartbeat, or just wants you to think he's coming to scare you? It can't be that bad. Right?
You hear something click in the ceiling [[above you->10B]].Once you hear footsteps, you know they're coming, however //they// are. No point in hiding now.
Your foot lifts off the creaky board and it makes a moan of displeasure as you race for the window, footsteps thumping loudly against the old flooring.
You faintly hear your capture's footsteps behind you growing louder as you reach the window. Your hands fumble, trying to lift it up or find someway to unlock it.
There's nothing.
"Jackie!" a male voice yells from down the hall.
You feel sweat starting to build up against your back and forehead despite the cold air blowing at you as you look for someway to open the window. A tear falls down your cheek, leaving a warm streak down your face.
//There's only one way out.//
"Oh Jackie?"
You back up a few steps, eyes trained on the glass.

//Who is doing this to me? How did they find me?//
You think back to the link they sent you... "backpage". How the fuck did you even get here? None of this even makes any sense...
Remembering just gets harder and harder. Your mind just begins to grow more and more blank spots, like a fungus taking over.

As you leap through the window, shards of glass begin to pierce and slash through your skin. You're in free fall, probably bleeding. A scream pierces through the air and you're not sure if its your's or your capture's over the adrenaline.
Realization dawns on you the longer you fall, almost like you're going in slow motion, starting with just how high up you really were.
Part of you wishes you really were in slow motion, that it might make all this hurt just a little bit less.
That can't be the case. You're moving incredibly fast, far too fast to process what's going on before your body hits the ground, surrounded and pierced by shards of glass.]

And you let it.
The world starts going blurry after a few moments.
And you let it.
The world goes black.
[[And you let it.->12C]]You have to get yourself out of this. It's the only option.

Despite the moonlight giving part of the room a faint glow, its still majorally pitch black. You place a hand against the wall and slowly walk around the edge of the room, hoping to find a door somewhere.
Eventually, your hand its a small indent in the wall and you smile to yourself, glad to finally find something you're actually looking for. You eventually find the doorknob not too long after and crack the door open enough for you to slide out and not give the door and opportunity to squeak and give you away.
Now for the next challenge, finding the way out.

You stand back up in front of the window and upwrap your arm from the fresh blood stain in your shirt. The wound itself isn't actually that large or deep of a gash, thank god, but you should probably try to clean it up at somepoint. God knows how old that glass is or what broke it in the first place.
Looking back to the window, you notice that there's not really anyway to lock it from the inside but also a lip on the bottom half of it that's hopefully meant to open it.

You wake up groggily to a dull pain nagging at the back of your head and sharp bumps accross the back of your legs. You brain slowly wakes up as the pain starts to increase. For the second time in what you assume and hope is just one day, you have to give time for your body to adjust.
But when it does...
You feel the hand in your hair, the rocks and trash on the floor scraping along the bottom of your jeans, when you see the tiny window at down the disgusting hallways filled with moonlight.
You feel your throat burn as you scream, like as sound comes out, fire is being poured back in.
Your cheek starts to burn and the hand in your hair releases. You realize that maybe your body hasn't fully woken up yet as your upper body falls down the the ground with a loud thud.
Your kidnapper starts to step around you and pulls you back up by the collar.
"Who are you?" you finally croak out.
He's blocking the moonlight shining in down the hall, and with your eyes not adjusted yet, he just looks like a massive black blob that's holding you up.
[[Spit in his face?->13D]]
[[Wait for an answer?->13E]] As you pull out your phone, you notice the screen is broken, cracked all along the right side and bottom. It looked like it'd been dropped down a flight of concert stairs.

Your thumb shakily hovers over the red end call button. As soon as its pressed, you heads falls back between your knees and your breathing grows sharp and shallow.
You're not sure how long you're sitting there, completely still aside from the shaking of your shoulders and your trembling lip. There is no way of getting out of this.

You feel something in your brain snap, and you wipe the tears from your cheeks. You can't let this happen, you can't let whatever that thing is hurt you...
You start to get your senses back, knowing you need to find some way out.
The howling wind keeps calling to you, creeping through the window to grab you. Your legs shake as you answer the wind, and you walk straight up to the window.
The window still has some glass and panes running across it, but there's multiple holes seemingly punched through it, allowing the wind to come in. You hadn't noticed how cold it was. A gust of cold wind bursts through and smacks you in the face. Any icy shiver goes down your spine.

Despite the layer of grime on the lip of the window that you assume (and hope to god) is just from old age, you hook your fingers underneath it and pull up.
The window begins to make horrid creaking noises from years, if not decades, without use and all you can do is hope that the howling wind is enough to cover it up or that your capture simply just isn't here.
Once the window is open, you stick your head out, bracing yourself on its frame. You can tell definitively now that you're on the second floor of some kind of old building. The yellow light you saw earlier is leading to a smaller little branch off of the building with very few windows on it.
There's not much against the side of the building to hold onto though, aside from a few old and relatively small vines growing up the side of the side of the building, but no ledges. It's pretty clear that you're not going to be able to get out of this like some kind of agile video game character.

There's plenty of other doors along the hallway that must lead to rooms similar to yours in some way or another, but the goal is to find a staircase somewhere, something that can lead to a shorter jump out of the building, somewhere your captor wouldn't see you escaping.

You swing your legs over the window sill and brace yourself as you push out from the windowframe.
You're pretty much upright the entire fall, and something you didn't think through before comes to mind...
//Crack!//
Stinging shoots up your entire leg as your ankles throb in an intense pain. Something definitely feels as though its dislocted or just completely out of place.
You're not able to hold back the scream that rips through your throat as you feel and hear the crunch of your ankles hitting the ground beneath you.
You hear a door slam on the other side of the smaller branch off of the building through your screams. You couldn't care less as your cheeks stain with painfully cold tears from the wind.

You walk down the hallways quickly and as silently as possible, looking in a few cracked open doors along the way, but seeing nothing in particular inside. You weren't about to open the door fully and see some kind of dead body or horror movie shit inside.
At the end of the hallway though, you finally find the stairway leading downstair. Your veins spark with electricity as you find a new jolt of adrenaline running through you, realizing this is probably the end.
You bound down the stairs, still trying to keep quiet but barely caring anymore with how close you are the freedom. There's three hallways in front of you now, one leading straight and two others on your left and right.
Before you pick a hallway you notice at the end of the hallway straight ahead of you, there's a faint yellow light shining into the hallway.

"How did you even find me? Or send me that stupid link?" you growl at the man.
"Do you ever shut up?" you hear him mutter as he yanks hard on your hair. You scream out in pain, further irritating your throat.
Ignoring the fire in the scalp as best as you can, you manage to growl through gritted teeth, "Lucky for you, I don't."
The fire builds as the man lifts you most of the way off the ground by your hair and shoves you against the wall, about a foot away from being able to stand. His hands move from your hair to your neck and stomach to hold you up as he cuts off your windpipe slowly.
Your lungs starts to scream at your already enflamed throat as it scambles for some kind of air reserve you might've hidden from yourself.
"You're making this very difficult... I can find anyone else your age and put them in a very similar situation to yours. I don't even need you alive," the man warns you.

He's selling you.
You already knew something like this would happen from that stupid website... but the conformation...
How the hell was he even able to send you that link...
"H-how did you get my phone number?" you ask, barely above a whisper.
"Are you gonna keep asking questions?"
"This is the last one."
"Not hard to buy it off people, 'specially when you keep it on your social media."
You eyes go wide as you look down the hallway.

There's no other doors than the one you came in.
The man walks back over to you, and the sound of metal jingling starts to fill your ears. Another flood of cold hits you as you start to realize what's going to happen.
The man grabs your wrists before you have time to react and pulls you up to your feet, a sharp pain shooting through them from god knows how long without use. Cold metal hits your wrist, pinning you to the metal frame of the grimey bed.
